Here’s a quick and easy way for your bank or credit union to help a local
charity and garner a little publicity at the same time.
In this instance, the Grand Rapids Whitecaps and the local YMCA teamed
up with Fifth Third Bank to solicit used gloves that could be given to kids
in various baseball programs that didn’t have a glove of their own.
Ad-America got the call from the minor league ball club to see if we could
come up with a box for glove donations that would fit well in the bank,
and be easily decorated. At a very nice price of course.
Ad-America owns ContestBoxes.com, so we took one of our “Large” contest boxes, cut a larger hole in the top, and then glued down the inside flaps. As you can see, the box looks great, and the gloves fit in the box...well, like a glove!
The results were out of the park! The YMCA received badly needed gloves, the Whitecaps got more kids involved in baseball, and the bank got to show their community involvement. All were mentioned in the local Grand Rapids Press and on local radio stations.
Cost of the program? Less than $300 for 50 boxes. Shipping and tax are additional. To order yours, please call Ad-America at 616-247-3797 or visit www.ContestBoxes.com
Think ‘outside the box’ tip: Don’t just limit your efforts to gloves. Another group collected knit caps for people undergoing chemotherapy. Many donors knitted brand new home made caps. Again, there was wide spread media coverage.
Do you have a charity that’s special to you that could use a product donation?
